Ross Humphries Profile

My name is Ross Humphries and I am 18 years old.

I live in Northfield, Birmingham, West Midlands and attend Bromsgrove College as a full-time student.

My main hobby is racing motorbikes, influenced by my Dad who raced at ACU Clubman level in the 1970's. I also like playing and watching snooker - two sports both requiring a high level of concentration.

My favourite bike racer is Italian Andrea Doviziosowinner of the 2004 125cc World Championship.

My main ambition is of course motivated by my racing - I want to be British SuperStock Champion.

Ross Humphries Racing History

I started racing minimotos round karting circuits and rapidly progressed to Conti 50cc racing, still at kart tracks.

2006, I moved up to the Phoenix Jawa 70cc championship run by the East Midland Racing Association (EMRA) at Mallory Park, finishing 6th. overall.

2007 and I quickly moved to ACU Clubman level and by the end of the season had qualified for National license level. Racing in 2007 I competed in the ACU Colin Appleyard 125 Academy Cup, gaining great experience.  I also took part in the Darley Moor 125cc Championship, finishing 8th overall.

2008, was a successful season racing 125cc bikes and I competed in various rounds of the New ERA MCC Honda Superclub Championship and New ERA Championship, having wins at Oulton Park and Mallory Park. I finished the season being crowned EMRA Club 125cc Championship Winner!

2009 was my first season racing in the 600cc Britsih SuperStock Championship and was a steap but none the less enjoyable learning curve, not just for me but also my Dad and the rest of the Ross67 Racing team!

2010, once again I will be racing the Yahama R6 in the 600cc Britsih SuperStock Championship and hope the experience gained last year brings better results this year.
