For 2012 season Ross is again on a Yamaha R6 Supersport specification machine.

Ross will be competing in the NG Road Racing (formerly North Gloucestershire Motor Cycle Club) Supersport competitions during 2012.

Early March 2012, we went to the Pembrey track in Carmarthen where NG Road Racing were holding a weekend test session. We decided to go because Ross had never raced there and had no idea what the track would be like, and it gave us a day to sort out things like gearing, fuel etc.

Initially we were not going as the weather looked a bit grim, but as the weekend drew closer there was a break in the weather over Pembery so decided to go on Sunday morning.

Got to the track and it was wet but the rain had stopped, so the pit crew put the wet wheels in and Ross went for his first (tentative) ride round Pembery. Three laps later he was back in, the track was drying. In with the dry tyres and Ross went back out and straight away was on the money.

We stayed to the end of the day with Ross getting faster every session, the gearing was spot on, fast dry lines were learned, and we managed to pre-stretch a new chain. All in all a good day.
